Skadi the Corrupting Heart (also dubbed Skalter) is a Bard Supporter, specializing in supporting multiple operators within her range either through stat buffs or damage mitigation. She also provides passive health regeneration with her trait, which can be boosted with different skills. Besides that, she has a summon that gives her more freedom in positioning, greatly improving her utility. Overall, Skadi is the best buffer for both general use and hard content. She is very easy to utilize and able to excel in specialized comps with different synergies.
She excels in complementing already good operators, turning them into even stronger ones. Her biggest crutch however is relying on those very same operators. Skadi will not carry you without good allies to support, so make sure you have an already developed roster before raising her.

Strengths
- Skills provide various effects and buffs that make her viable for different playstyles.
- Range extension with the summon opens up many possibilities.
- Provides additional regeneration to help sustain the team, even healing summons and otherwise unhealable operators.
- Extremely cheap in terms of DP.
Weaknesses
- Kit is very stat dependent, making her very investment-heavy both in levels and mastery.
- Won’t carry you by herself if you lack good operators for her to support.

This talent is what grants Skadi the most unique and powerful part of her kit - the Seaborn summon. It allows you to buff allies all around the map as long as there is a nearby open tile for it to be deployed on. This gives Skadi a huge degree of freedom as she can be placed on one end of the map and still provide support to someone on the other end at will.
Predatory Habits
ATK +6% when there is an allied unit within range of self or the Seaborn; If the allied unit is an [Abyssal Hunter] Operator, gain ATK +15% instead
This talent is nothing special but it helps her offensive buffs by giving her more ATK to scale off of. If there are any Abyssal Hunters within her range, the ATK boost is further increased and is indicated by a glowing red eye.

Immediately restores all HP and gains Max HP +170%. The healing effect of this unit's Trait is increased to 80% and 50% of damage taken by all ally units within Attack Range is directly transferred to this unit (only the highest effect of this type is applied)
This skill serves as a healing burst combined with high damage mitigation. It can make a big difference when multiple operators are under pressure, as well as serving as a strong panic button. Half of the damage taken by all operators in Skadi’s range is redirected to her now massive HP pool, while the passive regen keeps operators well topped up. Make sure not to overestimate the skill’s potential, since Skadi can still die if the pressure is too high. Overall, this skill does its job well enough without a lot of investment and masteries, and is quite friendly to newer players.

S1 is probably Skadi’s weakest skill. It is still very valuable in certain situations, but the majority of the time it’s good enough at skill level 7. M1 is good to get if you plan on using it in some specific setup, considering it’s rather low cost and the trait effect increase is quite noticeable. It's an overall low priority compared to her other skills, so don’t sweat it even if you don’t have the time or materials to get it to M1.

All other ally units within Attack Range gain Inspiration equal to 60% of this unit's ATK and DEF. The healing effect of this unit's Trait is increased to 20%
Unlimited duration
This skill is Skadi’s general-use buffing skill. Its permanent duration and buffs give you pretty much everything you need: a respectable ATK and DEF buff with a boost to her health regeneration and without the need to worry about timing make S2 a perfect fit almost anywhere. It’s also great since a bigger, burst-focused ATK buff will be overkill most of the time. With investment, the boosted HP regen can potentially allow you to ditch medics.
It can make a huge difference in your team’s damage output and survivability. Combined with her summon, you will have an easy time keeping everyone you need under its effect.

S2 is Skadi’s best skill for general content, with its mastery increasing the scaling on everything it does. It ends up being high priority so you can get the most out of her stats for buffing and healing, providing strong all-around gains for everyone at all times. It ends up being a higher priority than S3 due to S3’s ATK buff being overkill most of the time, making S2’s constant buffing and healing boost more impactful.

This unit's Trait changes to losing 5% HP every second. Deals 70% ATK as True damage to all enemies within range every second (damage from this unit and the Seaborn stacks). All ally units within range gain Inspiration equal to 110% of this unit's ATK
When you really want a bigger boom, this is the skill you need. It forgoes the other bonuses from S2 and puts it all into ATK. The skill’s True Damage is a really nice cherry on top that can help against enemies with a combination of high DEF and RES that you will encounter in harder content. The damage from Skadi herself and the Seaborn does stack, which can influence your placement depending on what you need. Additionally, the good duration and cooldown make it very consistent, leaving not much to worry about other than timing it well and giving Skadi a source of healing.

S3 is an extremely powerful skill, especially in things such as very high risk Contingency Contract. Masteries grant it a significant boost to its ATK buff scaling, making it very important if you plan to use it, but it’s overall a lower priority than S2 to mastery. It’s going to be overkill for most players to use S3 as not much content warrants needing such strong buffs that much, meaning that S2’s more balanced all-around support and permanent duration make it a higher priority than S3.
Synergy
Warfarin
One of the more notable synergies that has actually come into play for multiple strategies. If your aim is to only focus on buffing one operator, then buffing them directly with Warfarin is better. But if your aim is to buff the ATK of multiple operators with Skadi, then Warfarin can provide a great boost to her. It will have a very noticeable effect on Skadi’s buffs, especially when used in conjunction with S3 against strong enemies that benefit more from multiple operators being buffed.
SilverAsh
An already powerful choice to bring for any team. SilverAsh’s 1st talent can help with repositioning the Seaborn if you find the redeployment cooldown on it to be too long. While it is not much of a reduction, it can often help in crucial moments. However, this is only really relevant for S2, since S1 and S3’s cooldowns won’t line up with the redeployment cooldown too well.
Low ATK Physical Operators
The toughest thing for a lot of these operators, such as AA snipers, is how much even mid-levels of DEF can hurt their DPS. Skadi is able to provide them with a strong flat ATK buff, massively improving their DPS.
Unhealable Operators
Skadi provides some of the best passive HP regeneration in the game, which makes her a clear choice if you want to help your otherwise unhealable operators. Being able to help sustain them constantly while also providing buffs makes her a solid choice to bring together with these operators if you believe they will need some help.
Summoners
This is a general synergy applicable to any summoner, especially if they are being used for prolonged combat. Summons are not really directly healable and tend to have no self-sustainability, so they are likely to die eventually to attrition. Skalter’s defensive buffs and healing help remedy that issue alongside other benefits. As summons are often able to be placed all around the map, Skalter can help them out with her own summon following them around if necessary.
Sora
Not as much of a bad synergy as a mechanical exclusivity. Both of them provide buffs through the Inspire mechanic, which is mutually exclusive. Because of that, using them together for buffing will not work at all. It is just straight up bad to put the two in the same squad unless Sora is used for her sleep crowd control, which doesn’t synergize with Skadi at all.
