Saileach is a Standard Bearer Vanguard who brings a variety of utilities to the table while also offering substantial DP generation. Depending on her skill choice, she can generate a decent amount of DP while bringing additional utility, or focus entirely on generating DP. The combination of each skill having multiple useful effects, her generally applicable talents, and fast skill rotations make her a welcome addition both in regular and harder content.

Strengths
- Great utility alongside good DP generation, even in the hardest content
- Fast skill cycle on utility skills make them safe to use even between waves
Weaknesses
- Main debuffs (Slow and Fragile) cannot be stacked with other sources, while not having the longest duration or strongest effect
- Less focused on DP generation and higher base cost compared to others in the branch, notable during maps tight on DP
Talents
Unwavering Banner
Deploys with a banner; Within the surrounding 8 tiles of the banner, allied units have ASPD +10 and enemies have ASPD -10
While not game-changing, it’s something that is constantly active and easily moved around by abilities, so it’s easy to make use of. You’ll see a noticeable effect for slower attacking operators and enemies.
Spiritual Influence
After deployment, the next Operator has -2 DP Cost
This talent partially makes up for her higher DP cost and hard-to-obtain potentials. It’s good to have, and makes Saileach more viable when you need fast and early setups.

Stops attacking and recovers 18 DP over the skill duration
This skill offers no extra utility, and so competes with others in her branch purely on the basis of DP generation. Because Saileach has a higher base DP cost, lower rarity Standard Bearers usually win out when you want fast DP gain, but not by too much.

As it stands, there is little reason to invest in mastery for this skill. The only reason to invest in this skill is if you want to maximize DP generation, in which case there are cheaper options like Elysium or especially Myrtle. Saileach’s value lies in her utilities.
Inheritance of Faith

Stops attacking and generates a total of 20 DP over the skill duration. Throws the banner to the location of the allied unit with the lowest HP percentage within range, granting them DEF +50% and restoring their HP equal to 50% of Saileach's ATK every second. When the skill ends, retrieve the banner

Note: This skill cannot target or affect summons/stage equipment.
This skill is designed to keep a unit alive in the initial phases of the stage without the need for a medic while also generating a competent amount of DP. The range gives the skill good reach and, even without the supportive buffs, it provides an impressive amount of healing–it’s equivalent to a dedicated healer even at E2 1 Skill level 7. As a cherry on top, this skill applies its healing by applying regeneration on the target. This means it is capable of healing units that cannot be targeted with normal healing, such as Mudrock.
Its DEF buff is also highly valuable–some stages present the player with threatening physical ranged enemies with enough ATK to quickly kill most cheap units. That said, it remains a useful safety net even after you’ve deployed your frontline.

Due to the state of the game, this skill is overkill in a majority of situations. Fodder enemies who need to be held off at the beginning of stages generally do not pose enough of a threat to warrant usage of this skill, and once a team is set up, this skill’s effects may be too defensive to justify Saileach taking up the deployment slot. It is, however, tremendously useful in situations where the strategy hinges on the survival of some unit, but you can’t spare a slot for another Medic.
Glorious Banner

Stops attacking and immediately gains 10 DP. Throws the banner to the location of ground enemies, dealing 300% Physical damage and Stunning them for 3.5 seconds. Enemies within the surrounding 8 tiles of the banner are inflicted with Slow and 30% Fragile effect. When the skill ends, retrieve the banner

The sheer amount of utility this skill carries allows her presence to be felt throughout the entirety of the stage, even in offensive strategies. Other vanguards of this description do exist, of course–Texas and Bagpipe retain their usefulness with ease–however, neither of them can amplify the effects of other operators like Saileach.
The stun on skill activation, albeit with a small delay, is almost universally useful. With the range the skill possesses, an impressive amount of stages allow Saileach to reach important spots. The Slow and Fragile are applied in a 3x3 area centered on the flag, meaning that threats are both in range longer and easier to take down. The damage and her first talent are nice bonuses on top of everything else the skill does.
It doesn’t lag behind other branches of Vanguards much in terms of DP generation either. Its active duration of 10 seconds is both a blessing and a curse–a longer Fragile effect is greatly beneficial, but it also means that this skill’s recharge is a bit more delayed.
This skill greatly rewards smart planning in a variety of ways. Her flag’s target location can be taken advantage of with smart placement, allowing her to increase your operators’ ASPD in combination with applying Fragile and Slow in an area. She will follow conventional targeting within her range. Failing that, the flag will land on the tile where she is deployed.

Mastery improves both the effects and rotation of the skill significantly. The SP decrease is very impactful: it can be popped faster after deployment, it falls behind less in the DP race, and it increases the availability of her debuffs. They’re masteries that are well worth the investment.
Synergy
Bagpipe
Bagpipe’s initial SP talent makes the usage of Standard Bearer Vanguards feel like night and day, making them nearly helidrop. While other branches also benefit from it, none are as pronounced due to Standard Bearers possessing the highest rate of DP generation.
