Robin is a Trapmaster Specialist whose specialty is utility in the form binds and pushes with her traps. She can be used against targets that have a long path where she can best utilize her binding traps to delay the enemy. She can also push low-to-mid weight enemies effectively into hazards such as holes with proper trap placement. All this while remaining at a safe distance from the enemy.

Due to being a welfare unit, Robin has a slightly longer redeploy time and higher base DP cost compared to other operators of the same rarity and branch. This increase in DP however does not affect Robin’s traps.
Strengths
- Provides both binds and pushes for stalling utility globally with good effectiveness
- Easy to use without need for much investment to get use out of
- Traps deal good damage, allowing for clearing weaker enemies and dealing good chip damage to stronger ones
Weaknesses
- Traps are single target and cannot be placed on tiles with an enemy on top of them, making them prone to being used by low-priority targets
Talents
'Clip' Specialist
Can deploy up to 8 'Clip' traps (Can store up to 10); The first enemy that steps on a trap will trigger its effect
Robin’s talent allows her to use and store traps which are restocked to full whenever she’s deployed. These can be a little tricky to use because they can be only deployed on tiles unoccupied by enemies. However, with sufficient planning and enemy pathing knowledge they can be used to delay and displace enemies effectively. The traps have a cost of 3 DP and a redeployment time of 5 seconds regardless of the skill chosen.

Passive Effect: When a trap is triggered, deals 350% ATK as Physical damage and Binds the target for 3 second(s)
Active Effect: Immediately gets 1 trap
This skill is a great tool to delay enemies as well as deal damage to them even when they are out of Robin’s range. The bind duration adds up over time with multiple traps around the map. This is especially true for bosses as a majority of them move slow and aren’t bind immune, and often loop around the map making it easy to utilize Robin’s traps against them. It is notable that enemies that trigger the traps will be splitboxed between the trap tile and the tile they were previously on.
The damage multiplier on this skill is also helpful. Multiple traps can chip away at stronger enemies’ health while smaller targets can be eliminated with just a few traps. It won’t replace a DPS focused unit, but it’s nice to have alongside the bind.

M1 is a budget option as the bind is only 0.5s shorter than with M3. While you lose out on damage and can run out of traps quicker with M1, it’s not really worth taking this skill to M3 if you don’t plan on using it a lot.

Passive Effect: When a trap is triggered, deals 380% ATK as Physical damage and pushes the target away significantly
Active Effect: Immediately gets 1 trap
With this skill instead of a strong binding option, Robin offers slightly more damage and different utility in the form of shifting. The push is significant too, being capable of pushing even medium-weight enemies. While the push can delay enemies similar to Robin’s S1, it’s not a great stalling option as it won’t work on higher weight enemies. It serves as a potentially very powerful tool to push certain dangerous targets down hazards such as holes.

While this skill is potentially stronger than S1 and will enable some strategies like low-op clears, Robin’s first skill is generally easier to use and contributes more to a full team. S2 requires a lot of investment for the upgraded push force and thus is not recommended to use unless you have a specific strategy involving Robin in mind.
Synergy
Angelina
Angelina can reduce enemy weight for stronger S2 pushes while also slowing nearby enemies for additional stalling. This can allow for a loop that can keep some heavier targets away with ease. The damage from both adds up too, making it easy to kill enemies in the process.
