Mudrock is a powerful Juggernaut Defender packing very strong offensive and defensive capabilities. She has the highest DP cost in the game, but makes up for it with an extremely high power ceiling, being able to take on most enemies in the game. She’s useful pretty much anywhere, and can be considered one of the most powerful operators in the entire game. Her only real downside is needing the DP to put her down.

Mudrock’s stats are very high as per the archetype, with a huge HP pool, strong ATK and DEF stats, and 3-block that more than make up for having the highest upfront DP cost of any operator in the game. She scales very well with additional levels, as her high stat growth contributes to all of her aspects including self-sustainability.
Her archetype trait is that she cannot be directly healed by allies. However, this does not mean that she cannot be healed at all, as “regeneration” type heals will still work just fine on her - same as any other operator with a similar trait.
Strengths
- Possesses some of the best survivability in the entire game
- High damage output against both common and elite enemies
- High synergistic potential and specialized usage allows for a variety of options
- Easy to learn and make effective use of
- Scales extremely well with investment with her entire kit
Weaknesses
- Highest DP cost of all operators in the game
- New players are likely to struggle justifying her deployment cost early-game
- High attack speed enemies and DoTs can shred through her shield layers which cripples her defense against harder hitting enemies
Talents
Ward of the Fertile Soil
Every 9 seconds, gains 1 Shield (Can have up to 3 stacks, with 1 stack granted immediately when deployed). When a Shield is broken, restores 20% of Max HP
One of the most important parts of Mudrock’s kit, giving her great survivability and being her main source of self-sustain. It constantly regenerates over time, meaning she has great defensive capability against slower, hard hitting enemies. These two aspects combined make Mudrock incredibly tanky on top of her already high HP and DEF stats.
Its caveat, however, is that any instance of damage taken will break the shield, even if it’s extremely low. Be careful not to have the layers be wasted by weak, fast-hitting enemies or DoT effects when you need it to block damage from a heavy hitter.
Unshakable Solidarity
Takes 30% less damage from Sarkaz enemies
It’s a pretty simple talent that has a strong effect when it’s active. Straight up damage reduction from any Sarkaz enemy is very noticeable, as there is no shortage of hard-hitting Sarkaz enemies to be wary of. They’re a common race you’ll fight against in both story and events, which means this talent will probably stay relevant in future content.

DEF +100%
The skill has high uptime and consistency, while giving Mudrock an even beefier DEF stat, but it’s not worth caring about. Mudrock is already tanky enough against even some of the most dangerous enemies in the game with her raw stats and shield talent alone. Meanwhile, both her other skills provide strong offensive capabilities on top of giving more survivability and options against different enemies. This skill is generic and unremarkable in every way.

For the reasons stated above, the skill at its core is simply worse than Mudrock’s other skills. There’s no reason to really use it over the others and mastering it is nothing but a waste of resources.

The skill is very simple and consistent, making it an easy go-to skill for a lot of people. It also has strong synergistic potential with other operators that help serve as SP batteries. It is most effective against hordes of smaller enemies that will be hitting Mudrock often. With this skill she can easily sustain herself and clear waves of enemies. While less effective against slower attacking enemies, it can still work as long as the pressure on Mudrock is not too extreme. It’s a simple and effective skill that turns Mudrock into a meat grinder.

The skill has a very important SP cost reduction with its first mastery. While the increased damage and stun duration are nice, the SP cost reduction is the most important. It only decreases with the first mastery, meaning this skill will be almost at its full potential at a very low cost. While the rest of the masteries are not bad, they are not going to make anywhere close to the impact of the first one and end up being a luxury.

This skill is very versatile, with great offensive and defensive capabilities. It can be used offensively to deal high multi-target damage, or defensively to give Mudrock invulnerability for 10 seconds, allowing her to regenerate at least one shield layer. The stun buys Mudrock additional time to further regenerate her shield while allowing her to safely land a few hits on the enemies. It can be crucial in ensuring her survival when under heavy pressure. This skill's versatility and ease of use makes it very powerful in the right hands.
The first 10 seconds of the skill where she cannot block enemies might seem like a big drawback at first glance. However, this is actually not much of an issue, because she also slows the enemies, making it so that most of them won't make it past her as long as the skill is activated a little bit ahead of time. Other operators can also be used in conjunction to ensure that even the fastest enemies will struggle to make it past.

This skill is Mudrock’s most powerful, so mastering it is a no-brainer. The improved stat boosts, CD reduction, and increased stun duration are strong upgrades all around. The mastery turns this already great skill into an even better one, making it an easy recommendation for anyone.
Synergy
Aak
The best buffer to use with her. Mudrock has a base DEF high enough to easily tank Aak’s buff, with the only downside being losing her shield layers. Alternatively, Aak’s buffs can be used while Mudrock is in her S3’s invulnerability phase, gaining full benefit from the buff without losing any shield layers.
Blemishine
Blemishine’s first talent makes Mudrock with S2 much more powerful and consistent, as she no longer needs to rely on enemies to attack her. On top of that, Blemishine’s S2 is HP regeneration, meaning that Blemi can actually heal Mudrock with it. This can easily make a huge difference if your Mudrock is struggling to sustain herself, making the two a great defender duo to bring pretty much anywhere.
Angelina
Angelina provides an array of benefits for Mudrock which makes her a good synergistic choice. The HP regeneration works on Mudrock while also granting increased ASPD for better damage output. On top of the passive benefits, Angelina provides strong and consistent crowd control that can help during Mudrock’s S3 windup so enemies cannot make it past her.
Rosa and Elysium
They both provide reliable crowd control with quick rotations that can work in conjunction with Mudrock’s S3 cycle. Their crowd control will slow/bind enemies so they cannot move far enough to get past Mudrock while she’s in her invulnerability phase. As a bonus, Elysium’s S2 lasts long enough that Mudrock can get a couple of hits on the enemies while their armor is debuffed.
Enemies that you typically need to use these synergies on tend to be beefier, heavier enemies, where Rosa’s talent can take effect allowing her to help deal damage to them. Other operators may be able to help in the same way, but these two and Angelina are the most practical and reliable to use alongside with Mudrock’s S3 due to their quick skill rotations.
Ch'en
Another rather simple talent synergy. Ch’en’s talent helps passively charge skills with Offensive and Defensive recoveries such as Mudrock’s S2. It’s nowhere as powerful as Blemishine’s talent, but it’s still helpful if your objective is to help keep Mudrock spinning.
