Manticore is an Ambusher Specialist best known for her passive crowd control. Her damage output is more of a bonus as, while it can help when she’s backed by others, it isn’t enough to let her make a name for herself as a DPS even in a branch not known for its damage. Overall, she works well with other crowd control options with her good skill uptimes and control modifiers.

Strengths
- Potent, passive movement speed reduction works well with the aggressive placement this branch is capable of
- Melee positioning and area AOE are emphasized by her high skill uptimes, making her fairly flexible in where she can apply her crowd control
Weaknesses
- Invisibility has fairly niche use in practice due to skills needing attacks to inflict debuffs
- S2’s damage output has an anti-synergy with ASPD buffs

Hidden Killer - Elite
Stays Invisible normally. The first attack made gains +50% ATK and removes Invisibility. Regains Invisible state after not attacking for 5 seconds
In practice, this talent acts as a first-strike attack bonus and as a permanent addition to her S2 damage so long as she isn’t receiving any ASPD buffs.
Do note that the talent is an ATK buff rather than a multiplier, and thus stacks additively with buffs and her S2 for diminishing returns.

The Movement Speed of targets hit -50% for 5 seconds
While it isn’t the highest or longest movement speed reduction, when combined with her innate survivability it can significantly delay enemies in aggressive positions. The fact it applies on every attack makes it an easy drop-and-forget source of slowing where you need it.
The fact it doesn’t rely on her talent and doesn’t aspire to be a damage-oriented skill means that Manticore benefits from ASPD buffers with this skill–it means she can apply the debuff more often, so enemies are more likely to leave her range with it applied. Ambusher range means even the fastest enemies are unlikely to avoid getting hit at all.

The MS reduction increase makes a big difference in this skill’s usage, as does the extra second of debuff time. Its advantages over similar, more potent skills, are that it’s always on, so long as Manticore’s deployed, and the unlimited target count. It’s a low priority because besides this the skill doesn’t do much else, and it’s not something every player really benefits too much from having, but it’s unique and works well if you decide to use it.

Attack wind-up and Attack Interval increases. ATK +90% and hit targets are Stunned for 1.0 seconds
This raises Manticore’s attack interval to 157 frames (5.233 seconds), meaning she benefits from her talent on every attack. The damage-per-hit is fairly high, assuring that she can get through even higher armor enemies with a bit of support damage, but its main appeal is being able to kill off or significantly soften every low armor mob in an area in one-to-two hits. The stun is useful in interrupting longer attack interval enemies.

The gains from mastery aren’t too great–the duration increase isn’t enough for an additional attack, nor is the Stun increase significant enough to really change much in the way you use it. The attack modifier increase, while alright, isn’t too impressive either given she already has a high +% modifier when accounting for her talent and what you already have at SL7. Only go for it if you’re really looking to maximize her damage output at any cost.

If you’re looking to use Manticore as a support DPS with her S2, be aware that anything over +3 ASPD will cause her to lose the talent bonus, resulting in a significant loss in damage. Angelina is the greatest offender here, given her ASPD buff is a global aura for all operators on the team.
