Leizi is a Chain Caster with long-range multi-target Arts damage and some crowd control. Her S1 offers a simple ATK increase on a short cycle, while her S2 gives her a more significant damage increase on a longer cooldown. With post-E2 investments such as her module, she beats almost all her 5-star alternatives and remains a competitive option even for late-game players.

Trait jump range:
Strengths
- Powerful module upgrade power spike that allows her to have competitive multi-target damage output within her class
- High multi-target damage output against unblocked enemies combined with some slow crowd-control
Weaknesses
- High investment requirement of upwards to module stage 2 to combat her glaring weaknesses such as damage reduction on bounces, long downtime on S2, and low slow uptime
Talents
Unobstructed Flow
Increases ATK to 120% when attacking unblocked enemies
This talent is easy to make use of thanks to the branch’s big jump radius, which lets her attack enemies outside of her original range. While it makes her less effective in strategies dependent on blocking enemies, she’s not unusable without it. However, the additional SP from the module upgrade is dependent on this talent, so make sure Leizi can hit some unblocked enemies to charge up her skills faster.

ATK +100%
A simple attack-up with good uptime and average cycling. The modifier is pretty high by default, making it her preferred skill if you’re unwilling to invest in her module and just want her for situations where her chained range is desirable.
Once she has her module, it’ll routinely be up in 20 seconds or less depending on the number of targets, making it practically available on-demand. That said, the consistent damage is less useful than the higher damage and lack of damage reduction offered by S2.

Mastery cuts down on the cost and gives a sizable modifier increase. While the gains aren’t bad, investment isn’t recommended because S2 has a much higher on-skill DPS ceiling, relegating S1 to a consistent damage role served well enough by SL7. Players who want a bit of flexibility in using her and wish to get the most out of the skill at a reasonable price can stop at M2 for the bulk of its benefits.

ATK +150%, and attacks no longer deal reduced damage on subsequent targets
This skill offers a higher attack modifier and removes the jump reduction, making it a direct upgrade in terms of combat performance. Dealing full damage to all targeted enemies allows for very high damage output against multiple-targets, and some of the best arts damage outputs within the rarity. The catch is that, without her module upgrade, it has an awfully long cycle that hurts its performance.

The improvements are fairly linear increases to the modifier and duration, helping turn her into a reliable caster. However, it doesn’t further improve the skill cycle which is its main weakness, with that being addressed by her module upgrade instead. It’s not a high priority by itself because the skill really needs the module upgrade to be relevant, and thus should be an upgrade considered after said module is acquired.

'All the Thunderlight'
CHA-X
The stage 1 module enables the Slow to feel more relevant and slightly reduces the gap between S1 and S2. Stage 2’s additional SP significantly changes how she plays, giving S2 an advantage in most situations by giving it a reasonable cycle. The talent increases and additional ATK are welcome but ultimately just a luxury as opposed to a necessary upgrade.

The stage 2 module is affordable and elevates her from a niche pick to a competitive caster, allowing her to make use of its high damage potential much more often. It’s definitely worth the investment if you have her raised and worth keeping in mind if you’re considering her.
