Kjera is a Mech-Accord Caster offering good single-target Arts damage and crowd-control in the form of Chill and Freeze. She controls 2 Drones that can lock onto enemies and attack outside of her attack range with her 2nd skill. She is similar in usage to a Core Caster with a higher damage output if her Drones have the time to ramp up.

Trait:Controls a Drone that deals Arts damage; When the Drone continuously attacks the same enemy, its damage will increase (from 20% up to 110% of the operator's ATK, linearly)

Strengths

  • Can apply Chill/Freeze with S2, debuffing and CCing the enemy
  • Drones lock onto the target with S2, meaning they can continue attacking targets after they leave Kjera’s range

Weaknesses

  • Drones need 6 attacks to reach full trait stacks, and they reset when switching targets
  • Chill/Freeze from S2 is RNG-based and can be unreliable

Deference

ATK +10%, when there are two or more ground tiles within Attack Range, the effect becomes ATK +16%

This talent serves to offset Kjera’s low attack. The talent’s higher ATK buff is easy to trigger without holding back her placement options.

This skill is not really worth considering over Kjera’s S2. While it has a better uptime than S2, it loses in skill DPS and average DPS handily due to the lack of a 2nd Drone. This skill also lacks the debuffing potential S2 has.

Chill: ASPD -30. If Chill effect is stacked, duration is refreshed and effect changes to Freeze
Freeze: RES -15. Unable to move, attack and use skills.

With this skill she holds some single target stalling capability, though it’s quite unreliable. Kjera and her Drones can all attack the same enemy at once which shifts the odds of proccing in her favor despite the seemingly low chance. If Kjera and both of her Drones are attacking the same enemy, the chance to apply Chill in one attack is about 49%, with a chance to instantly freeze the enemy being around 10%.

To Freeze an enemy, Kjera has to apply Chill with two consecutive attacks, as the debuff will expire before a third attack. This can be offset with ASPD buffs to allow for an additional attack within the debuff duration.

The ATK increase may not seem like much, but it's important to keep in mind that it will scale with the number of drones attacking the same target. The Drones' ability to lock onto enemies may be useful in certain situations, but is treated more as a nice bonus rather than something game changing.

This skill doesn’t have the best uptime, and it isn't improved much by masteries. The first mastery’s damage boost is good considering it also applies to the Drones, while also providing a small boost to inflicting Chill. The chance to apply Chill in one attack becomes about 53% and the chance to instantly freeze about 12%. Overall it's not recommended to further master this skill unless you plan to use Kjera extensively, as there are better single target Arts DPS options.

Synergy

ASPD Buffers

ASPD buffs help Kjera apply the Chill effect more frequently, in addition to increasing her DPS. Even a small buff like Angelina or Saileach can make her freeze enemies more reliably; when Kjera gets +5 ASPD or more she’s able to perform a second attack within the duration of her Chill effect. This helps Kjera deal with higher RES enemies and increases her stalling capability.

Bard Supporters

Flat ATK buffs are disproportionately stronger on low base ATK operators such as Kjera compared to higher ATK operators. The Drones also benefit from such buffs, making for a high DPS increase.
