Kal’tsit is a Single-target Medic who ironically does a poor job at healing. She is more akin to a guard operator thanks to her summon, Mon3tr, which her entire kit is built around. If you are in need of a powerful healer, using Kal will only lead to disappointment. Despite that, she is one of the best DPS operators in the game with her lane holding capabilities and powerful true damage bursts. She is easy to use for beginners and has a high skill ceiling, staying relevant even in the hardest content in the game. She will be a great addition to any player’s roster.

Kal’s stats are nothing special, being essentially what should be expected from her archetype. Most notably though is that, unlike the rest of her archetype, she has an entire extra row of range that is quite helpful in allowing her to reach further. Most importantly will be her summon’s stats:

Mon3tr is, simply put, a huge ball of stats. It has pretty much everything you need: good offensive and defensive stats that scale well with leveling, a block count of 3, and a low DP cost. Most important, however, is its short redeploy time, allowing Mon3tr to be deployed against bigger threats at low cost. This makes Mon3tr a low-risk, high-reward unit, since if Mon3tr dies it can be back up about twice as fast than most operators.
Strengths
- Very powerful lane holding ability
- Great true damage DPS
- Fast skill cycling
- Longer range than other medics within same archetype
- Mon3tr’s low redeploy time and the short skill CDs allow for easy repositioning.
- Requires little investment to be useful
Weaknesses
- Deploy slot is required for both Kal and Mon3tr
- Mon3tr has no DEF if it’s placed outside of Kal’s attack range
- Skills 2/3 do not charge if Mon3tr is not deployed, and reset to 0 SP charge if Mon3tr dies/is retreated.
Talents
Mon3tr
Can use and heal Mon3tr, and Mon3tr has a 25 second redeployment time. Kal'tsit will prioritize healing herself and Mon3tr; If Mon3tr is not within Kal'tsit's Attack Range, Mon3tr's DEF is reduced to 0
This talent is what grants Kal’s ability to summon Mon3tr, along with a special targeting priority. While Mon3tr is quite beefy even without DEF, enemies with short attack intervals can still make short work of it. Keep in mind that Mon3tr’s DEF reduction is calculated after all buffs, making it impossible to buff its defense to anything above 0 when outside of Kal's range.
Non-Damaging Restructuring
When Mon3tr is defeated (excluding retreat), all enemies in the surrounding 8 tiles are Stunned for 3 seconds and receive 1200 True damage
This talent is pretty much a bonus safety net that allows Mon3tr to be positioned even more aggressively. It already has a very low redeploy time making such situations low risk, but this talent pretty much guarantees that if Mon3tr dies, you’ll have additional time and a bit of true damage on top. It’s a solid talent that complements Mon3tr's aggressive playstyle, but isn't necessarily a game changer.

S1 is a very generic defensive skill. With its relatively good uptime, in some very rare cases it can be used to turn Kal into a physical tank medic, but it is almost never worth using. It turns Mon3tr into a damage sponge with little in terms of DPS, which is throwing away Mon3tr's greatest strength.

S1 is not worth using overall, and thus its masteries end up being a waste of resources. Using Kal and Mon3tr as ranged and melee tanks is pointless, as there are much better options for both roles that provide much more utility.

This unit gains ASPD +100; Mon3tr gains ATK +90% and attacks all blocked enemies
This skill is Tied to Mon3tr
This skill's high ASPD boost to Kal is good to simply let Kal sustain herself and Mon3tr better. While this skill is active, Mon3tr becomes a very powerful lane holder. The ATK boost is sizable considering Mon3tr’s already high base ATK stat. The multi-targeting allows Mon3tr to deal with multiple weaker enemies that would otherwise swarm it due to its slow attacks. The skill’s low cooldown and good duration make it easy to use without the need to optimize its cycling. It’s overall great, even without investment, and allows Kal to compete with the game's strongest lane holders.
Keep in mind that this skill is tied to Mon3tr. This means it will only ever charge while it is deployed, and its SP charge will reset to 0 if Mon3tr dies or is retreated.

S2 improves on everything it does with its masteries, making masteries quite noticeable and worthwhile. It can be considered low priority if you already have many other operators capable of laneholding. However, if you find yourself lacking good lane holders, then this skill is definitely something you should invest in.

Mon3tr gains DEF +200%, ATK +260% that gradually decays to +0% over the skill duration and deals True damage. If this skill ends without Mon3tr killing any enemies, Mon3tr loses 50% Max HP. This skill is Tied to Mon3tr
This is a very powerful burst skill, and the best and most consistent source of true damage currently in the game. The DEF boost is great and the ATK boost is even better. While the ATK bonus does decay over time, it is not much of an issue because Mon3tr already has a high base ATK stat. Since the skill deals very high true damage, it will shred through any enemy that isn't literally immune to damage. With this skill, Mon3tr won’t be hindered much by ATK debuffs, since it is not going to be held back by dealing physical damage against higher DEF enemies.
The damage Mon3tr takes if it doesn’t kill an enemy isn't much of an issue, since if that does happen, Mon3tr can quickly be healed back up by Kal’tsit. Even if Mon3tr does die from this, it still has a bonus failsafe from the second talent and a short redeploy time to be quickly back in action. The skill also boasts high uptime and fast skill cycling, making it easy for Mon3tr to decimate elite units one after the other.
Keep in mind that this skill is tied to Mon3tr. This means it will only ever charge while it is deployed, and its SP charge will reset to 0 if Mon3tr dies or is retreated.

S3 is the best source of consistent true damage in the game, and its masteries provide a significant increase to its damage on top of the other benefits. It’s very much a meta defining skill, and will be relevant against pretty much anything that Mon3tr can hit. If there is one skill to absolutely invest into if you obtain Kal, then it’s this one.

Synergy
Aak
Mon3tr is able to easily tank Aak’s buffing, making it no hassle to make use of him. What’s most notable is Aak provides a high ASPD buff with his S3, meaning that when using Kal’s S3, you can buff Mon3tr to allow for faster attacks. This allows you to make the most of the high ATK buff from the skill, as you’re able to get more hits early in the skill duration, when Mon3tr's attack is the highest.
Skadi the Corrupting Heart
An obvious synergy like for any other summoner. Skalter can provide global support easily to any summons with her buffs and HP regeneration. Since you’re able to reposition Mon3tr often, this works well with Skalter’s own summon that allows her to keep up with Mon3tr and continue providing her buffs and regeneration to it. Do keep in mind however that Mon3tr’s DEF cannot be buffed by Skalter if it is outside of Kal’s range, and will still remain at 0 DEF.
SilverAsh
An already powerful choice to bring for any team. SilverAsh’s 1st talent can help with repositioning Mon3tr if you find the redeployment cooldown on it to be too long. While it is not much of a reduction, it can often help in crucial moments. Especially in high-level content like CC or player-made challenges like low-op runs.
