Hibiscus the Purifier is an Incantation Medic, whose specialty is short but frequent bursts of Arts damage and healing. She has an advantage in situations where you only need decent performance both in terms of Arts Damage and healing and don’t want to waste two team slots, but she doesn’t have as high of a peak in either compared to dedicated units. Her healing being tied to hitting enemies naturally means she’ll be pushed closer to the front and will encompass fewer ally units in her range. Consider her a caster first and a medic second.

Strengths
- S2 has effective crowd control and a decent burst of healing even against elite enemies
- Long debuff duration compared to attack interval makes it easier for her to amplify allies’ Arts damage.
Weaknesses
- Low performance floor and ceiling
- Needs to attack in order to heal; cannot perform as a main medic on maps with passive damage sources

Attacks inflict 12% [Arts Fragility] to the target for 5 seconds
While not too significant, it’s a decent amplifier for herself and any Arts damage you may use alongside her which is generally useful in her kit. Like with similar status effects, it is applied before damage is calculated.
It should be noted that Arts Fragility stacks with regular Fragile effects and unnamed damage amplification effects such as Saria S3.

This skill is there for when you feel like you want more consistent damage and healing. It is entirely worse than S2 unless you value its longer duration for greater total damage against a single target.

Mastery doesn’t significantly improve the skill, be it in comparison to S2 or the competition. In situations where it’s advantageous, it’s fine to keep at SL7—if that isn’t enough damage or healing, it would be better to use an operator dedicated to either role.

Reduces the Movement Speed of 2 enemies within range by -45% and deals 170% ATK as Arts damage to them per second
Note: During this skill, Hibiscus stops attacking and locks onto two targets; the skill ends automatically if all locked targets die or leave the battlefield.
With this skill, Hibiscus provides a mix of utility, burst damage, and burst healing. The damage and healing are okay for a skill of this caliber, leaning towards good if used against two targets. The utility in the form of a movement speed debuff is useful, too, and works well with Arts Fragility from her talent, especially since Hibiscus remains locked onto targets even after they leave her range.
That being said, the skill doesn’t do quite enough in its short duration and may feel quite anemic against higher RES enemies. Thus it is recommended to generally treat it as a supportive/sub-dps skill.

The skill has fairly linear improvements with mastery, the most notable being the SP cost reduction at M2. For most players, the skill simply won’t do enough to be worth bringing over two dedicated units in the majority of circumstances, but those intending to use her should consider at least M2 for most of the benefits.
