Fartooth is a Deadeye Sniper who brings a powerful set of tools that, while flawed, can truly shine under the right circumstances. With an impressive damage ceiling and coverage with her range, her strength shines on the right stage. However, the kit is not without its flaws, and she faces fierce competition from a large number of operators. For those willing to invest resources into her, Fartooth is capable of trivializing otherwise frustrating stages with her strengths.

Strengths
- Incredible coverage with capability of global range and infinite line range depending on skills
- High single target damage output against most enemies
- Able to burst down enemies with high evasion thanks to talent
- Good skill uptime and rotations
Weaknesses
- Innate targeting priority makes it easy for her to prioritize the wrong enemies within range
- Requires specific circumstances to reach peak performance
- Competitors either beat her out in damage, or are far easier to set up
Talents
Concentration
When no damage is taken within the past 10 seconds, ATK +15%
Somewhat flat as far as talents go, but this talent is significant nonetheless. When taking into account Fartooth’s massive base ATK, this talent is a high boost to go with the rest of her kit. As your ranged units are ideally not taking damage at all, you can expect an uptime of almost 100%. This talent’s impact is easily felt when her S2 is in play–the increase in damage is very noticeable, especially as she targets enemies of lowest DEF within her range.
Stilled Breath
When this unit's skill is active, becomes less likely to be targeted by enemies and attacks ignore the target's Physical Dodge
Unfortunately, there is very little room for application of this talent. Negative taunt is in general somewhat unnecessary due to how aggro works on a basic level. Physical dodge is something rarely seen and often has other ways to disable it, but it does make Fartooth an easy option to deal with them. This can become especially noticeable as dodge is becoming increasingly more common.

ATK +45%; ASPD +45
In the grand scheme of things, an incredibly generic S1. This skill may have some use at E1, when Fartooth’s ATK isn’t yet high enough to shrug off higher levels of DEF, since S2 offers no increase in ATK. Otherwise, there’s nothing interesting to set it apart.

Can attack blocked enemies outside of Attack Range. ASPD +110
Despite the lack of an ATK increase, this skill has a surprising amount of use cases. Once at E2, Fartooth possesses good ATK without any external buffs. Combined with the effects of her module, S2 can be very effective in clearing out fodder or dealing consistent damage to elite enemies. However, the range extension also comes with downsides–Fartooth may neglect enemies in front of her in favour of blocked enemies elsewhere with lower DEF.

Mastery doesn’t substantially increase the ASPD buff. If you find yourself using this skill a lot, proceed with mastery at your own discretion, but be wary as the main jump happens at M3.

Attack Range changes to an infinitely long straight line ahead, ATK +140%. When attacking an enemy outside of the normal Attack Range, damage dealt increases to 140%
The vast majority of discussion around Fartooth has this skill at its center, and for good reason. Under the right circumstances DPH can be as high as 5.6k, but keep in mind that due to her trait Fartooth may sometimes target enemies of lesser priority. Fartooth is heavily dependent on positioning: A majority of maps do not allow you to easily position her so enemies are more than 4 tiles away from her, such that S3 can proc its damage scaling. This means that, compared to operators like Schwarz, her damage falls off a lot faster against enemies with high DEF, though her ATK is still sufficient to deal good damage. When she can make full use of her kit, however, this ability can single-handedly clear out every threat along a lane.

Mastery makes a noticeable difference in her usage: it improves just about every aspect of the skill in a meaningful way, making the investment worthwhile, but be prepared to go all the way as the main jump happens at M3.

DEA-X
Fartooth is one of the deadeyes that get the most out of this module, primarily due to her main use being attacking enemies far beyond her original range, thus easily benefitting from the max bonus. The module stage upgrades increase the ATK bonus from talent and make sure she can quickly get it back even after getting hit. The additional ATK stat is always welcome, while the ASPD boost is small but makes a more noticeable difference due to the branch’s slow attack interval.

Fartooth benefits a lot with the stage 1 module, as her main skill—S3—wants you to attack enemies beyond her original range for the additional multiplier, which is multiplicative with the module’s boost. As for the talent upgrade, the decrease in the time for it to activate is negligible, as Fatooth gains negative taunt when her skill is active. Additionally, the original 10 second cooldown lines up with her initial cooldown on S3 when M3. The increase in ATK gained from talent isn’t very impactful in terms of DPS. The base module allows Fartooth to have a more competitive damage output, especially when making use of her long-range specialty, but further upgrades cost too much for too little gain.

Synergy
Shamare
As is obvious, every operator that deals physical damage or is taking any damage at all benefits greatly from Shamare. However, due to scaling with damage dealt instead of ATK, Fartooth gains a much greater proportional bonus from DEF debuffs.
