Bubble is a Protector Defender who trades some tankiness for a range of effects. She’s held back by the fact that she sacrifices some DEF and uptime when compared to her more easily obtainable counterparts, but doesn’t do either the job of an offensive defender or debuffer well enough to make a niche for herself compared to more dedicated options. A fine, cheap, if replaceable, defender.

Strengths
- Can make herself more likely to be targeted; taunt increases are a rare effect
- One of the tankiest budget options available among defenders
Weaknesses
- S2 counter-attack is tied to her DEF; loses both survivability and offensive ability if it goes down
- S2 uptime isn’t competitive against similar skills

Makes enemies less threatening. This is somewhat notable against enemy casters if you’re making proper use of enemy targeting priority, since it effectively gives her some resistance.

It would be competitive against Cuora and Bison were it not for the significantly shorter uptime. The taunt increase is valuable in situations where you’re forced to deploy operators after her, and the counter-attack is good for taking out enemy ranged units from afar.

Even at its peak, this skill doesn’t offer enough in the way of unique bonuses to justify significant investment into it. A player will usually be better off waiting for Hoshiguma or using Tequila if they want the counter-attack, since it’s active passively and better executed, and Bison offers the same combination of DEF and Taunt with a better uptime. That aside, the benefits from mastery on their own are underwhelming–the biggest change is additional DEF, which just isn’t impactful.
