Astesia is an Arts Fighter Guard with good survivability against physical damage. Her talent incentivizes early placement to keep her damage output high, otherwise offering mediocre DPS. Her more interesting skill, with increased Block count and good multi-target damage, is significantly held back by its short duration, but if timed well can still make a difference on the frontline for those interested in using her.

Strengths
- Very high DEF during skill uptime makes her resistant to most physical threats
- Multi-target attacks tied to block count make her a good target for block count buffs
Weaknesses
- She relies on multi-target damage from S2 and her talent effect to reach competitive damage numbers.
- S2 requires high investment for adequate cycling
- Low S2 duration and middling single-target damage can easily be insufficient for a lot of enemies
Talents
Celestial Globe
For every 20 seconds Astesia stays on the battlefield, ASPD +5, stacking up to 5 times
This talent takes 100 seconds to bring her attack interval down to 1 sec at E2. It’s a simple buff that helps her damage output but requires you to place her down well ahead of time to make good use of it. While it means her regular attacks are slightly better than average, that aspect isn’t too notable.

This skill’s main advantage over S2 is the longer duration, letting Astesia tank even elite enemies. It doesn’t do anything special and has mediocre damage.

Mastery doesn’t significantly impact its uptime, nor the modifiers. Not worth investing in unless you’re adamant about using Astesia as a periodic 1-block tank.

ATK +80%, DEF +80%, Blocked enemies +1, attack all blocked enemies
This skill can be used to prevent leaks during waves with a lot of enemies if you lack other tools for dealing with them. The fast cycle, multi-target damage, and additional block count make it a potent emergency option. When used against a hard-hitting enemy, it likely won’t last past a single duel due to its short duration.
Skill Mastery

- Low
If you intend on using Astesia, this mastery is practically necessary. The biggest mastery gains are faster cycling and increased uptime, which makes a significant difference in how the skill feels in use. The modifier improvements are decent, but don’t significantly change what kind of threats she can engage. That being said, the skill has quite a low priority for mastery due to there being many other, better options for dealing with similar threats.
