Archetto is a Marksman Sniper with a focus on multi-target damage. In addition to being a respectable unit by herself, she also has a notable support role when paired with other offensive recovery snipers. With a flexible kit that offers great multi-target potential, Archetto is a very viable 6-star whose performance exceeds all lower rarity Marksmen.

Strengths

  • Amazing against large swarms of mobs with low-to-medium DEF
  • Skills allow attacks to hit enemies beyond her default range in multiple ways
  • Very reliable and potent offensive SP battery for snipers, allowing for consistent recovery during downtime.

Weaknesses

  • Compared to the other 6-star Marksmen, has considerably lower damage potential
  • 3rd skill has a moderately high cost for an offensive recovery skill.
  • Falls off against enemies with at least medium high DEF

Talents

Landen Tactics

Every 2.5 seconds when deployed, restores 1 Skill Point to all deployed Sniper allies that have an Offensive Recovery skill.

This talent is one of Archetto’s strongest tools. It obviously bolsters her own SP recovery by giving her a steady stream of SP during downtime when there are no targets to shoot. However, being able to give more SP to all other snipers with offensive recovery skills allows for a potential DPS increase for the whole team. It can be very effective for snipers that have a long attack interval (ie. Meteorite and Fiammetta) and assists in faster skill cycling overall.

Iron Bowstring

When deployed, this unit gains 1 Shield. Restores 7 Skill Points after the Shield breaks

Unfortunately this talent is quite underwhelming for Archetto. Its best use is making her easier to helidrop, but this means putting her in a dangerous position since she has to get hit first. It can help tank a hit, but snipers should be put in a safe position anyways. Additionally, the shield can break while Archetto is on skill lockout, wasting the SP boost.

The next attack deals 230% ATK as Physical damage to the target and 180% ATK as Physical damage to up to 3 other nearby enemies

Note: This skill has an attack radius of 1.5 tiles

It’s important to note that the multi-target aspect comes as an AoE effect. This means she depends on the targets being close together for her to shine, despite the sizable radius. Secondary targets are chosen starting from the closest to the main target. While it has merit in terms of AFK runs, the potential lost in choosing it over her other skills isn’t worth it.

The most notable gain is the SP reduction at M3, which is significant, but the cost is not worth the investment.

Immediately fire an arrow that deals 140% ATK damage 5 times in a row. The arrow can repeatedly ricochet to nearby enemies that have not been targeted yet (each ricochet reduces available ricochets by 1); Can store 3 charges

Note: This skill has a jump radius of 1.5 tiles

This skill stands out for its ability to bounce between multiple targets. This allows for jumping between enemies that may be spread out and extend its effective range. Since the jump radius is relative to the most recent target hit, the ricochet can reach well beyond the primary target, but the jumps cannot target previously hit enemies. This skill can hit 15 times total on up to 5 targets, and it is not needed to fully optimize each use, since the damage is frontloaded and falls off per jump much like chain casters. Hitting just 2 enemies is more than half the maximum amount this skill can hit. Also, the ability to hold up to 3 charges gives the skill a high degree of control for several situations.

Masteries substantially improve this skill, with a notable one being M2 which gives an additional charge. The attack scale increases have merit, as it allows Archetto to scale off buffs better. Skill cycling improves with decreased SP costs for each mastery, thus improving its usage rate and gives more breathing room against mob rushes. With that all said, the situations in which S2 has notable advantages are fewer than S3 and thus the priority for mastery should be pushed down the list.

ATK +30%, attack range +1, attacks hit 3 times in a row and target 2 enemies simultaneously

Boasting increased range, target count, and multiple hits, this allows Archetto to bring considerable burst damage towards large groups of weaker enemies or a few heavier enemies, driving her multi-hit and multitarget aspects home. Solid option when hitting two targets consistently, and the range extension allows Archetto to safely deliver damage from a distance. It does have a high SP cost for an offensive recovery skill, but having fast attack speed and her 1st talent helps offset this in practice.

This skill has an understandable usage and a sustained burst, already giving it great general viability. As such, masteries can give more potential for a skill which already shows promise in concept. While the attack only improves by +15% at M3, Marksmen scale off attack boosts considerably, and the lower SP cost can prove useful in situations where Archetto is helidropped and needs to get this skill activated as soon as possible. Simply put, the inherent quality of what this skill has to offer merits the investment for masteries.

This module is beneficial to Archetto in several ways. The first is an increase in DPS with its first stage. The small ASPD buff may not seem like much but alongside the additional ATK it can make a difference in Archetto’s DPS capabilities. Stages 2 and 3 aren’t too beneficial to her DPS and mostly serve to give her a helidrop capability with her S3. The bonus stats of ATK and ASPD help Archetto slightly while the additional DEF is negligible.

Recommended Stage
Stage 1
Priority
Medium

The first stage of this module is the most important one and is fairly cheap to get compared to the later stages. Stages 2 and 3 don’t do much for her first two skills, mostly benefitting S3 for helidrop use. While it’s not a bad upgrade per se, it’s not important and module upgrade materials are scarce. The first stage by itself is good while being more impactful and cheaper than higher level ups.

Synergy

ATK Buffs

Like all Marksman snipers, having low base attack means that Archetto will greatly benefit from ATK buffs. This is especially true for her due to all the multihit/multitarget skills in Archetto’s kit. One notable mention is Skadi the Corrupting Heart providing a consistent buff as well as survivability bonuses. Warfarin can also be a valuable partner for Archetto, offering an +ATK% buff and providing an SP battery for killed enemies in her range which pairs extremely well with how Archetto is meant to deal with multiple targets.

SP Batteries

Archetto, having all offensive recovery skills, will benefit from other sources of SP regeneration, due to the more difficult nature of accumulating SP naturally. An example is Ch’en, who can provide Archetto with an additional 0.25 SP/sec overall, bringing Archetto’s downtime SP regen to 0.65/sec. Liskarm can assist in lowering the downtime. If a noticeable crowd has accumulated, Archetto will be able to activate her skills much sooner. Such a crowd can then be quickly eliminated due to Archetto’s emphasis on handling multiple targets.

Snipers with Offensive SP Skills

Archetto brings a potential team boosting support option, providing a stable 0.4 SP/sec for offensive recovery Sniper skills. One benefactor that shows substantial improvement is Meteorite. Meteorite has a long attack interval of 2.8 s, and being able to benefit from 1 SP every 2.5 seconds, faster than her attack interval, more than doubles the rate of how often Meteorite can activate her S1, drastically improving her damage. In the same sense, Fiammetta (notably her S2) also benefits greatly.
