Amiya (Guard) is an Arts Fighter Guard with great single-target DPS and survivability against Arts damage. She’s a strong source of single-target Arts and true damage, but stops just shy of great, due to her S2’s lack of flexibility. Additionally, she has a talent that can provide a small buff to all allies on the field.

Strengths
- Talent buff is passive; applies to all units without any conditions
- Good single-target damage even against high RES enemies with either skill
Weaknesses
- S2’s one-use nature limits her from entering burst damage roles, relegating her to a consistent ST Arts damage source and Arts tank with the use of S1
Talents
Azure Fury
When deployed, all allied units gain ATK and DEF +7%. Effect is doubled when skill is active
This talent is effectively an additional trust bonus equivalent given to all your units. It’s not too significant due to being a relatively low additive modifier, but coordinating Amiya’s skill activation with that of a friendly unit can make the buff more noticeable.

ATK +80%, attacks deal 2 hits. Gain 60% Arts Evasion
Due to how Arts damage is calculated, two hits deal the same damage as an attack with a 200% multiplier, meaning any buffs are applied twice. The skill also offers great Arts Evasion at all levels, so if you simply want to use her as a passive buffer and Arts tank you don’t need to invest heavily in her. Another thing to consider is that S1 deals enough single-target Arts damage—especially with mastery—to be effective even against high RES enemies, so it is well worth considering for further investment.

Mastery gains are almost the same at all levels, so you can stop at any point and only upgrade further if you feel it's needed. The large ATK modifier gains and improved uptime are worth getting.

Immediately seek enemies with the lowest HP ahead and carry out 10 Arts slashes, each hit dealing 220% Arts damage (the last hit deals doubled True damage). For every enemy killed by the Arts slashes, gain +40% ATK and +20 Arts Resistance (up to 3 stacks). Attacks deal True damage for the remainder of the skill duration. Can only be used once in the same battle

This skill is Amiya’s burst skill, meant to be used against bosses or a particularly tough wave during a stage. The purpose of the initial nuke is to thin out any mobs in the area while building self-buff stacks, then deal the remaining slashes and a big True damage cut to the main target. It can also be used for targets you need to remotely nuke, similar to Ch’en S3, in which case Amiya will similarly require external buffs.
The True damage and her survivability against Arts damage afterward will depend a lot on whether she had any other targets in range or not. The latter part of the skill is the bulk of its damage output, and so it’s recommended to wait until there are some weaker targets in range, or even use all of the slashes against other enemies if it means getting the full buff effect against the main target.
It’s worth noting that Amiya is untargetable for most of the slash animation, which takes a few seconds, and so won’t be able to block during that time. This time counts against her skill duration. Keep in mind her S2 doesn’t register her talent as being in the active state during the slashes, so it only applies the basic effect until she’s back on the map.

While an incredibly potent skill, the fact it can only be used once per mission severely limits its usage. Realistically, it’s very hard to make good use of it unless you extensively study the stage beforehand. Otherwise, simply treat it as a one-time Arts nuke, good for eliminating bosses when paired with some buffs. The low priority reflects this relatively niche role.
Synergy
ATK / ASPD Buffers
Due to multi-hit on both of her skills, she benefits disproportionately from any buffs that would increase her output. She’s a source of both Arts and True damage and a great target for offensive buffs with her boss-killing capability.
